Talens Dammar Varnish Glossy 081 is a traditional final varnish specifically formulated to protect oil paintings. This 250 ml bottle contains a premium dammar resin and turpentine oil composition designed to provide lasting protection and a beautiful high-gloss finish. Apply only when the paint film has completely dried, typically after approximately one year with normal layer thickness. The varnish dries within a few hours of application. It can be thinned with turpentine for easier application and brushes can be cleaned with white spirit or turpentine. For a reduced gloss effect, blend with Dammar Varnish Matt 082. Dried varnish coats can be removed with turpentine if necessary. Note that this varnish may show signs of natural aging over time, such as yellowing and crackling.
