The boards are universally prepared for use with oil paints, acrylic paints, and water-mixable oil colours. The professional-grade primer system consists of one layer of natural glue base followed by two layers of acid-free, acrylic-based gesso. This multi-layer foundation guarantees excellent paint adhesion, optimal stretching properties, and prevents oil penetration.
